Dr. K. B. Chandrasekhar, Chairman
Dr. K.B. Chandrasekhar founded Jamcracker, an on-demand software
company, in 1999, and is also co-founder and Chairman of e4e Inc., a
global business services company.
Serving since 1998 on the Board of Directors for Aztecsoft Limited, a
publicly traded company in the Bombay Stock Exchange, Dr. Chandrasekhar
was appointed Chairman in 2004 and held that position until 2008 when
it successfully merged with MindTree Limited. He is actively
involved in assisting entrepreneurs and is currently associated with
more than 20 projects in which he has invested.
In 1994, Dr. Chandrasekhar identified the potential of the Internet
and founded Exodus Communications. The company went public in March of
1998 in one of the most successful IPO's of 1998, and in 1999 he was
honored as the Ernst & Young Northern California Entrepreneur of the
Year.
With a passion to promote entrepreneurship and the vision to take
cutting edge research ideas to market, Dr. Chandrasekhar established a
unique innovation trilogy in Chennai. The three entities - KBC Research
Foundation (www.kbcrf.co.in), AU-KBC Research Centre (Anna University–K.B. Chandrasekhar Research Centre, www.au-kbc.org) and Svapas Innovations (www.svapas.com)
each play a key role in various aspects of entrepreneurship such as
funding, ideation, innovation, incubation, mentoring and
commercialization. This trilogy has a strong interdisciplinary focus
across the domains of Information Sciences (wireless technologies,
cryptography and network security, and natural language processing),
Life Sciences (Nano biology) and Education. The generous support
extended by Dr. Chandrasekhar has enabled this ecosystem to take up
R&D work of high standard, attract global research and
entrepreneurial talent, and bring innovation to market faster. Dr.
Chandrasekhar also contributed substantially to networking and
e-enabling the campuses of Anna University, with special emphasis on
promoting remote education over the Internet.
Dr. Chandrasekhar was born and raised in Chennai, India. He holds a
bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Anna
University and in 2006, was awarded with an honorary Doctor of Science
degree by his alma mater in recognition as a distinguished technologist,
global entrepreneur and his outstanding contribution to the field of IT
and promoting research and development in India.
Sivakumar Thiyagarajan (Siv), President - iOPEX Technologies
Sivakumar
Thiyagarajan (Siv) has spent his last 27 years in IT services and
support industry in various executive management positions. Siv is
currently the President at iOPEX Technologies, focused on optimized cost
and improved customer experience. Prior to iOPEX, Siv established the
Tech Support practice at e4e and grew the business to be the largest for
the company. Prior to e4e, he was the head of professional services at
Jamcracker, where his team was responsible for the implementation of
company's SaaS solutions. Siv held various management positions at
Wipro, Microland and DCM.
Padman Ramnkutty, Partner at Intrigo Systems LLC
Padman Ramankutty is a well-noted supply chain expert and and brings
more than 20 years of experience and thought leadership in supply chain
management and advanced planning and scheduling solutions. Mr.
Ramankutty previously served as the Chief Executive Officer and
co-founder of Bristlecone, Inc., a global technology consulting company
and provider of extended supply chain solutions. Prior to founding
Bristlecone in 1998, Mr. Ramankutty headed SAP’s High Tech Global
Industry Business Unit where he successfully positioned SAP R/3 as the
premier enterprise solution for the semiconductor industry. Padman has
also played a key role in the development, strategic assessment and
marketing of SAP's Supply Chain Optimization and MES programs and has
held senior operational positions in diverse industries ranging from
aerospace and defense, food processing and engineering.
